Project Description Country: USA Location: Santee Total Budget: $1,500 Areas of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment, Maternal and child health, Community economic development Activity Type: Food/Agriculture: General Summary: Meals on Wheels and the Santee Food Bank We will be supporting two organizations with this grant. Through a club survey, we determined hunger issues to be a major focus area for our club. Food insecurity has become an even bigger issue in the past few years. We will be donating $750 to Meals on Wheels East County, where members of our club donate we care bags and their time as well as weekly drivers. We will be donating $750 to the Santee Food Bank, a partner of ours on many local projects to help those with food insecurity in our community. Our club also volunteers monthly with the Santee Food Bank, delivering food to homebound seniors. We also help each year with the Stamp Out Hunger food drive, ensuring all food donated in Santee stays in Santee.
