Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Casper

Total Budget: $2,362

Area of Focus: Maternal and child health

Activity Type: Health: General

Summary: Sleep In Heavenly Peace Bed Build

This project supports a bed build initiative with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP), a multi-state nonprofit that provides beds to children ages 3 to 17 who are sleeping on couches, floors, or in unsafe conditions. The goal is simple: No Kid Sleeps on the Floor in Our Town.

Casper Five Trails Rotary Club will fund materials and bedding and provide volunteer manpower to build beds for children in need. SHP will supply the necessary tools and building plans, while Rotary volunteers construct and deliver beds to local families.

Children are identified through trusted channels such as schools, courts, child advocates, and law enforcement. Rotary's support ensures every identified child will have a safe, comfortable place to sleep.

Funding will cover:

Purchase of lumber and bed construction materials = $1497

Mattresses = $455.00

Bedding = $210

Food for Volunteers = $200

Volunteer labor provided by Casper Five Trails Rotary Club

Dan,

I know you put a basic budget in the description but can you upload a budget of income and expenses to the documents area as well.

Also, I want to make sure you realize you can get up to $2,000 in DDF with a $1,000 club contribution.
