Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Gillette

Total Budget: $5,000

Area of Focus: Maternal and child health

Activity Type: Community Needs Assessment

Summary: To provide clothing and essentials toiletries for kids to safely and comfortably attend school.

Although Campbell County School District generally has adequate funding for over 8,400 students, many students still suffer from lack of proper clothing and essential toiletries to safely and comfortably attend school. Gillette Energy Rotary has established a "School Pantry" at Hillcrest Elementary school to provide such items as winter gear, outer and under clothing, socks, shoes, boots, as well as toiletries, including deodorant, soap, combs, brushes, shampoo and others. We would like to expand to one additional school and the Youth Emergency Services (YES) House.

Mary,

You can't have two different grants in one grant. You can have a grant for the school pantry and a grant for the Special Olympics but you can't have both in this grant.

Let me know if you have any questions

Mary,

You had entered the grant year as 24 - 25 so I cancelled the signature process and changed it to 25 - 26. Please start the signature process again and you need to signatures. Yours as project contact and since you are the incoming President you will need someone else on your board to sign as well.

Mary,

The District had $18,000 more grant requests than available DDF for the 25 - 26 grant year. In order to meet the available DDF it was determined that we need to reduce the 3 tier levels to the next lower tier or $1,000. I have cancelled your signature process and reduced your DDF request by $1,000. You will need to either reduce the total budget for your grant or increase your club giving by $1,000 so it balances. Once you have made this adjustment please start the signature process again.

If you have any questions please email or call me at 970-629-0654.
