Summary: Provide Dictionaries and 4-Way tests coloring books to 3rd graders in Emmett, Sweet, Garden Valley and Avimore schools.
Each fall, Emmett Rotary Club members visit schools in Emmett, Sweet, and Garden Valley to distribute dictionaries and Four-Way test coloring books to 3rd graders. During classroom visits, they also explain the Rotary Club's community work and discuss the Four-Way test. These dictionaries are valuable resources for students, both at school and home. The children eagerly receive their dictionaries, and teachers appreciate the program. Last year there were 340 total 3rd grade students in the schools we service. We are in the process of determining how many students there will be this year, but am preparing for as many as 400. We anticipate completing the project no later than October 15th.

There was an error in the recent notification that the District's block grant has been approved by The Rotary Foundation. The date should have been July 15, 2025. When reporting your grant upon project completion, your receipts will need to show expenses incurred after that date. Thank you for participating in TRF grants!

Great you've completed the project. We do, however, still need you to complete and upload the final report. You'll find the final report form on the administration side of the description tab. Once this has been uploaded we will be able to close the grant for you. Always good to see the faces of the students upon receiving the dictionaries.
