Summary: Winter coats for housing insecure youth in Thompson School District.
Once again, we know that approximately 800 students in the Thompson School District have been identified as housing insecure. Around 77 of these do not live with a parent or guardian and may live with a friend or on their own. Members of the Loveland Thompson Valley Rotary club are proud to shop for winter coats with this grant money and deliver the coats to the McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Act liaison at the school district, Erica Wooldridge. Erica will distribute the coats to the neediest students in time for Christmas 2025. With these funds, we are also helping support Thompson Valley Preschool by providing affordable access to low to middle income families and at-risk children with a high, quality early childhood education program for children ages 3 to 5.
