Project Description Country: USA Location: Anchorage Ak Total Budget: $5,000 Area of Focus: Community economic development Activity Type: Community Development: Volunteer Services Summary: Enclosed Utility Trailer for Field of Honor in Anchorage At this time our 500 flags and supplies for the Field of Honor are spread across Anchorage in different locations. The enclosed trailer will allow us to store all the supplies in one location and allow us to easily transport to Field of Honor Locations that are drivable from Anchorage. The Field of Honor is 500 5'x3' US flags on 8' poles, that are set in formation. This has been a giant hit over the Fourth of July with the community and brings people together with its simple beauty. A trailer will allow us to share The Field of Honor with other clubs that are drivable from Anchorage. Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed) This grant has pivoted to: Anchorage International Rotary Club grant project will be organizing, volunteering and supporting January National Human Trafficking Awareness Month, by assisting Priceless Alaska in their mission. Anchorage International Rotary Club will provide resources needed to train and equip mentors, connect with trafficking survivors, and help meet the practical, physical, and emotional needs of victims.
