Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Breckenridge TX

Total Budget: $1,000

Area of Focus: Community economic development

Activity Type: Community Development: Construction/Renovation

Summary: Repurposing an unsed area of Downtown for a community gathering park consisting of park tables and seating area.

The local Texas Midwest Community Network group proposed their project to the Rotary club, and we loved the idea to create a new community gathering area for Downtown. They've already completed some of the restoration work in that area by commissioning a brand new mural in this area. This has been completed and is a worthy addition to Breckenridge's historic collection of murals.

This grant will help fund the table and seating area, Rotary members will assist in the clean up and assembly of the seating area.
