Summary: Contribution to education facility at the San Diego River, providing youth with hands-on learning experiences
|
The River Center at Grant Park will be a place where 10,000 students per year will be able to have the San Diego River as a classroom - where research and nature stewardship come together to create a special learning experience at a new 17 acre facility in the heart of Mission Valley. With a goal of creating a connection with nature, trained, passionate educators will guide the students through a meaningful experience.
Our club will contribute to the building of the new river center and have the opportunity to leave a lasting mark on the space in the form of a commemorative engraved river rock. The engraved river rock will be placed along the Interactive Stage Entry Wall when the seating area for the Conrad Prebys stage is built. This will help our club be recognized as leaders in supporting the community of Mission Valley and solidify our relationship with the San Diego River Park Foundation, one of our go-to organizations to volunteer with.
