Project Description Country: USA Location: San Diego Total Budget: $7,000 Areas of Focus: Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: 75-100 bikes will be given to second grade students in a Title 9 elementary school the La Mesa-Spring Valley school district An annual project during the holidays between a local school and La Mesa Rotary. Students in second grade are asked to write an essay in hopes if winning a bike. However, in reality, the entire class is gifted a bike.
