he Rotary Club of North County San Diego - Route 78 has been supporting Hope for Mtshabezi for several years. The founder, Lindani Sibanda, is a nurse by profession and is a past member of our club. She left our club when work took her to New Mexico, and is now resident in Zimbabwe at the clinic.
Hope for Mtshabezi, a Non-Profit Organization that has been providing free health care to the medically underserved people in South western part of Zimbabwe, has been granted permission by the Gwanda Rural Council and Gwanda Ministry of Health and Child care to build a clinic that will serve the population of the that area. That clinic is now open
Hope for Mtshabezi has been providing free healthcare in the area since 2004. They have been actively building a clinic since 2014, and construction started in 2018, and is now finishing up.
This year our club will continue contributing towards the purchase of medical supplies, primarily medicine. Their need is greater than we can provide, but we can at least help them with part of the purchase. Their website is http://hopeformtshabezi.org/
