Summary: Operation Flags for Vets (OFFV) places American flags at the gravesites of veterans at Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, CA
This grant will support the continuation of Operation Flags for Vets (OFFV) which is a Rotary District 5340 program administered by the District Military Coordinating Committee to place 20,000 flags at every gravesite at Miramar National Cemetery. This ongoing program was initiated in 2024 and through lessons learned, we need some funding to continue the project. The budget will cover the cost of acquiring 2000 additional flags, vests for section leaders, supplies, media support, web services, and a banner. The total cost is $2800. The 2024 program requested donations to support the program and we currently have $1400 in an account at District headquarters which will be used for matching.
