The District Funds will be used to purchase clinical supplies, drugs, reading glasses and corrective eyeglasses. Theses supplies will be taken to the Philippines by the members of the Medical Mission team on January 2025.
The rotary Club of San Diego-Paradise Valley medical mission team will provide free medical care to the under served areas in the Philippines. The medical mission team is aided by local Rotary clubs, volunteer doctors, dentists, surgeons and nurses from the Philippines and the USA.
The Medical Mission serves children and adults with free medical consultations, dental treatments, minor surgeries, reading glasses, corrective eyeglasses, free vitamins and much needed medications for those who can not afford prescription drugs. The project will focus on educating the families/public about methods on disease prevention, health complications, proper nutrition and hygiene.
Goals: Distribution of prescription drugs/medicines, clinical supplies for surgeries, dental care and treatment. corrective eyeglasses and reading glasses to those in great need in the community. The local Rotary clubs with the cooperation of the local health clinics and local government units will follow the need and condition of the people served.
