Summary: Emotional Health Support for Venezuelan Migrant women in shelters helping them recover from the traumas and abuses faced during their journeys to Chicago
new support for an ongoing project that provides counseling to women who have faced abuse in their journey from home to the shelters in Chicago. Therapy groups and support groups as well as childcare is offered while in session for those who have faced traumas along the route. Training is being offered to 50 women by 4 facilitators to in turn create support groups for those who are leaving the shelters so that ongoing follow-up can continue for a minimum of 6 months after leaving the shelters.
