The North Platte Salvation Army is a community leader in providing after school and summer activities for children. They work to assist the children in the development of life skills as well as providing an environment where children feel safe, security and nourished. Because of expanding services and hard use, the Salvation Army is in need of additional chairs and tables to continue providing services. Through this grant, the club will provide the following:
* 50 metal folding chairs @ $25/each $1,250
* 8 8 foot rectangular folding tables @ $110/each $ 880
* 1 table rack for storing 8 ft. tables @ $250/each $ 250
* Miscellaneous school supplies $ 250
On August 3rd, the Salvation Army will hold its Back-to-School event. Rotarians will have a workday to assist with setup for the event and distribution of school supplies.
