|
We will purchase safety items for survivors of domestic and sexual violence served by The S.A.F.E. Center in Kearney, Nebraska. This project would provide $45 Verizon cards for clients to use when they need to get a new phone due to theirs being broken or tracked by an abusive partner. Funds would also be utilized for door and window alarms for survivors who are able to stay in their own homes but require additional safety measures. Funding would allow for purchase of 11 phone cards ($450), 20 window alarms at $20 for two alarms ($400), and 15 door alarms at $15 each ($300). Sales taxes paid on the alarms would put the grant total at $1,193.
