Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Windsor, CO

Total Budget: $6,000

Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy

Activity Type: Education: Literacy

Summary: Restocking our existing little free libraries in Windsor/Severance, CO with children's books.

The Little Free Libraries that were built and stocked with a previous grant have been so successful that our Club has had a very hard time keeping them stocked with children's books. We have learned that the Little Free Library Organization sells boxes of used books which can

be shipped to our member's homes. Purchasing used books will make our Rotary dollars go farther. In addition, our Windsor High School Interact Club has become more active in the past two years and they are willing to hold book drives during the 2024-2025 school year. Club members continue to be active in maintaining the libraries and stock them when books are available.

Ann,

Your 24 -25 club President still needs to send in the club qualification answers. Once we receive those we will send the MOU which also needs to be signed and sent back to us.

They also need to enter your club Foundation goal into Rotary Club Central.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Ann,

I apologize for the delay in paying your grant. For the first time we received more grant requests than DDF was available. We cannot request the DDF till the report balances. To make that happen we have decided to cut the DDF from every grant. Your DDF request of $3,000 will be reduced to $2,700.

If you have any questions please let me know.
