We will conduct an in depth survey of all 35-40 septic systems that have been installed through this program over the last eight years.
Corazon staff will educate where necessary, and make safety improvements whenever possible.
We will be looking for any way to improve existing processes, procedures and protocols.
A combination of Corazon staff and volunteers will conduct a needs assessment survey to establish the current state of Water and Sanitation throughout all 400 families in six communities . Four communities in Tijuana and two south of Teacate. This will be with an eye towards a possible Global Grant.
This District Grant will also purchase one of our first "Made in Mexico" septic tanks made possible by the the last two years District Grants to build molds and go to school to learn how to build tanks ourselves. It will be awarded to a "Super Contributor" Corazon family that has not attracted a sponsor.
