Project Description Country: USA Location: Buhl, Idaho Total Budget: $1,240 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: Providing a book for each 3rd grade student at Castleford Elementary (Castleford, Idaho) and Popplewell Elementary (Buhl, Idaho). Buhl Rotary will give a free paperback book to all third grade students at Castleford Elementary and Popplewell Elementary. Rotary members will schedule a time during the 2024-2025 school year to go into each third grade classroom, read aloud Andy and Elmer's Apple Dumpling Gang book, talk about Rotary and the 4 way test, and hand out books to the children. Buhl Rotary is requesting grant funding for 155 books @ $8 per book. The Rotary Foundation will not fund "the operating, administrative, or indirect program expenses of another organization." If you're expanding the services that the organization provides, you can apply for TRF funds for this.
