Project Description Country: USA Location: Little Village, Chicago Total Budget: $471 Area of Focus: The environment Activity Type: Food/Agriculture: Volunteer Services Summary: Replacement for paid Rotary project D-4787: Pollinator Garden improvement in low income inner city neighborhood. This project is to replace Rotary District 6450 Grant D-4787 which was funded. I was not able to participate with the other clubs as I was traveling and the other components of the grant I thought would take place and we could participate in did not happen, specifically, our club's participation in the Little Village parade in September. This project is simply to add plants to an existing Pollinator Garden in front of Mujeres Latinas en Accion, and if there are plants or funds left over, to add plants to other existing community gardens in the Little Village or Pilsen neighborhoods, which are low income Hispanic areas. It will involve a community organization or 2 and members of 2 Rotary Clubs. I realize this needs to be completed by the end of June 2024 & a report submitted by June 30.
