Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Boise

Total Budget: $3,126

Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy

Activity Type: Education: Literacy

Summary: Dictionaries for 3rd graders

The Rotary Club of Eagle/Garden City, at the beginning of the school year, will order special dictionaries from The Dictionary Project that also include facts about the world and the United States. Rotarians from our club will deliver them to the students in classrooms of third graders for free to eleven different elementary schools. Each dictionary will have a label inside allowing the third grader to identify the book as their personnel book. It is an important step to support education and literacy of young people in our community.

You could turn this into a tier 3 project, requested 50% of the cost or $1,563 in DDF if you're willing to include a detailed spending plan in your application, Spending plan should include details of how you arrived at your $3,126 budget: how many dictionaries at what unit cost and how many labels and/or bookmarks at what estimated unit cost. You can just add this information to your narrative. It's up to you whether to edit your financing or leave as is. The next step after that decision and possible modification of your application is to sign it. On the administration side of the description tab, click "start signature process", sending it to your grant manager and to your incoming president only. Signatures are required by June 1st.

Your application must be signed by incoming club president and grant manager (primary contact person) no later than June 1st. Unsigned applications will not be considered for funding. Do this on the administration (gray button) side of the description tab by clicking "start club signature process". Do not send to district representatives. Thank you!
