Summary: Supporting the “Sponsor a Bed” campaign for The Door - Emergency Youth Shelter
The Door Emergency Youth Shelter is overseen by the Fairbanks Youth Advocates. The 2024 "Sponsor a Bed" Campaign provides the opportunity to cover the costs for a youth to stay 24 hours. The Door provides kids aged 12-18 a safe place to sleep, home cooked meals, clothing, supplies, and connections to community resources to help youth become sober minded and take the next best step. The "Sponsor A Bed" Campaign covers 24/7 staffing, meals, utilities and transportation. Sponsors can select from one day up to the entire year. Anonymity is always respected, but the intent is to show the youth and the community the names of those supporting them.
