Project Description Country: Netherlands Location: Amsterdam Total Budget: $1,500 Area of Focus: Maternal and child health Activity Type: Health: General Summary: Study of Public Health standards in Netherlands compared/contrasted to United States This District 5440 Governors Grant undergraduate scholarship will provide partial funding for Emma Cook, a Univ of Wyoming Speech Language and Hearing major to study abroad primarily in Amsterdam the Netherlands. Coursework will entail study of culturally sensitive issues such as euthanasia, public insurance, home birth and global issues around maternal and children's health and elder care. The study will be conducted in January 2024. The resulting study will be presented to University faculty and students and the Laramie Rotary Club.
