National city has a community of low-income families who struggle every day to make ends meet. In the winter months it becomes even more difficult with the holidays, for families to provide basic necessities. Rotary of National City will help families with holiday toys, clothes, meals or other basic necessities families' request.
I plan to request sponsorships. Along with the sponsorships, possibly host a mixer, resource fair or small workshop to increase funds.
Would like to have a given tree for youth so they can choose what they need and or want for their child around the holidays.
Meals and other family necessities in the form of a gift card to empower families to purchase basic necessities on their own. Help build pride and remove obstacles of feeling ashamed of receiving help.
