Project Description Country: USA Location: El Cajon Campus Total Budget: $2,000 Areas of Focus: Water, sanitation and hygiene, Maternal and child health Activity Type: Water: Supply/Access Summary: We will install six much-needed (new) drinking water fountains at our main campus in El Cajon. We will install six much-needed (new) drinking water fountains at our main campus in El Cajon. The need for these water fountains is immense. The current on-campus water fountains are defective, inefficient, and outdated. The current water fountains were also shut off for three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The new drinking water fountains will be equipped with bottle filler. This will help reduce plastic bottle usage, eliminate the purchasing of bottled water, encourage hydration, and increase access to healthy water for our clients and staff. Hydration is important for our clients and staff, especially during warm weather.
