Those who come to an emergency domestic violence shelter often do not have the opportunity to pack or bring much with them. We are giving them welcome bags that give them some semblance of normalcy. Items included: lotion, loofah, face wipes, nail kits, journals, puzzle books and writing utensils. Also included in the adult bags is a bracelet reminding them of inner strength and a gift card for a local outing, offering a small escape.
The children's bags include: coloring books, journals, coloring tools, card games, stuffed animals, throw blankets and gift cards for local outings.
