Project Description Country: USA Location: Channahon IL Total Budget: $825 Areas of Focus: Peacebuilding and conflict prevention, Basic education and literacy Activity Type: RI Youth Programs (Youth Exchange, RYLA, Rotaract, Interact) Summary: District 6450 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Conference, Channahon, IL USA The Rotary Club of Channahon-Minooka sponsors a highly successful, engaged Interact Club at Minooka Community High School District 111. Students reside in our local communities. Annually, we work with the Interact Club Sponsor to encourage Club Members to attend the annual RYLA Conference sponsored by Rotary District 6450. We are seeking funding to pay registration fees and associated costs for two students to attend the 2023 Conference this fall. The Rotary Club of Channahon-Minooka will pay to have at least one additional student attend using Club funds. Following the Conference, students who participate attend a Club meeting and share their experiences and what they learned.
