Activity Type:
Community Development: Construction/Renovation
Summary: Drought Tolerant Landscape Renovation at the BREAL Senior Apartments, Brea, CA
The BREAL Senior Apartments is a non-profit, 30 unit, ultra low-income senior apartment building that was built and funded by the Brea Rotary Club in 1980. Water has become one of the most expensive utilities. The north side of the building has a grassy area and irrigation system that is in poor condition. This project will remove the grass and irrigation system and replace it with a rock ground cover that will not require any irrigation, thus saving the building significant funds on a monthly basis.
