Summary: Community grants to be given to not for profit organizations with a specific project need
Every year our Rotary club receives applications from not-for-profit organizations for community grants in Oak Park, and surrounding communities. These grants are awarded by a committee of Rotarians. The money is to be used for specific projects by the organizations, such as washers and dryers for people in temporary housing in times of crises, food, equipment for a senior citizen's center, educational opportunities regarding legal rights, and numerous other amazing and worthwhile projects. We currently award $25,000 and would like to use our district money to be able to award more money to the wonderful organizations in our area. We look for projects that fit into the Rotary areas of focus.
