Summary: Provide a University of Utah Health resident psychiatrist for one-half day per week at the Pocatello Free Clinic (PFC) to provide psychiatric care for uninsured patients with emphasis on refugee and immigrant mental health in Pocatello, Idaho, USA.
Pay the salary of a University of Utah Health resident psychiatrist for one-half day per week for five months beginning in the summer of 2023 at the Pocatello Free Clinic (PFC) to provide psychiatric care for uninsured patients with emphasis on refugee and immigrant mental health in Pocatello, at a cost of $1,000 per month. Partners in the clinic include the University of Utah, Huntsman Mental Health Institute, Idaho State University, and BRIDGES Idaho refugee support organization. This project is a professional expansion of Pocatello Free Clinic services and partnerships. Rotarians will be involved by promoting the project and working locally to build additional support and collaboration for it going forward. A promotion flyer is in the documents section.

Thank you for pursuing a Rotary Foundation grant through District 5400. There are a couple of issues with your grant application. Per the Terms & Conditions for Rotary Foundation District Grants, "District grants may not be used to pay for...the operating, administrative or indirect program expenses of another organization" D5400 will not be able to approve this project as proposed. Also, this is a Tier 3 application. A club must have had at least $100/capita in giving to Annual Fund-SHARE of The Rotary Foundation in the 2020-21 funding year to apply in this tier. Your club's giving was only $48.37/capita that year. Maximum DDF available to you in 2023-24 is $1,381.
