Project Description Country: USA Location: Eagle River Total Budget: $2,500 Area of Focus: The environment Activity Type: Education: General Summary: New Pollinator Garden at Eagle River Nature Center, Eagle River AK to attract and nurture native plant life and educate visitors The Five native pollinators to be showcased in the new Pollinator Garden include: -Rufous Hummingbird -Canadian Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly -Frigid Bumble Bee -Snowberry Clearwing Moth -Flower Longhorn Beetle A Rotary grant of $1,500 (with a matching $1,500 fundraising goal by local Rotary clubs) would support the creation of this new Pollinator Garden by funding for the following needed supplies and materials: -native plants (specific to each of the five showcased pollinators) -flowers for planters -landscaping materials (e.g. bedding medium, walkway material, etc.) -educational signage -landscaping tools and gloves Project Contact Person District: 5010 Rotary Club of: Anchorage International Primary Contact: Becky Erickson Email: berickso63@yahoo.com Project Status Approved This project is "Approved".
