Project Description Country: Haiti Location: Haiti Total Budget: $7,000 Area of Focus: Water, sanitation and hygiene Activity Type: Water: Supply/Access Summary: Purchase of water pumps and ship to Haiti (details provided in project description). 6/7/2022 Mission II Haiti 10 years ago, when Mission II Haiti was formed we bought 50 Mark II water pumps from India. These pumps which include the stand, spout, rod, and 10 meters of pipe cost $350 each. Transportation and custom costs added $4,000 for a total cost of $21,500. Through the years we have used up most of our inventory. We now have 150 water wells that we maintain and have located with GPS. We plan to purchase 20 complete pumps for $350 each from India for a total cost of $7,000. Shipping costs and custom charges are unknown at this time. We are talking to other organizations in the area on ways we could share a large container and save on custom and transportation costs.
