Summary: Computer and 3-D printer equipment for the K-8 Entrepreneur students at the Irvine Hebrew Day School in Santa Ana, California

The Entrepreneur program at the Irvine Hebrew Day School is in need of Computer Software and Hardware equipment, to enhance their curriculum and elevate the learning potential. Utilizing the new 3-D printer hardware and software, Students in grades K-8 will gain the skills and inspiration to become the visionaries and entrepreneurs of the future. They will be encouraged to find their passion, develop their entrepreneurial vision, create a business plan, problem solve, and see the projects through to completion. Students will "network" with other student entrepreneurs in schools throughout Santa Ana and Orange County, and participate in community entrepreneurship fairs. We have surveyed out students to learn more about their entrepreneurial ideas, which include developing a "fidget factory", starting a bakery and homegrown vegetable marketing stand, exploring sustainable energy sources, building coding apps, and creating daily living items that assist people with disabilities. Members of the Villa Park Rotary community will tour the school, view the Entrepreneur department where the equipment is installed, and hear from the instructors on future goals & lessons plans. Rotarians will also be invited to come speak to students on a regular basis about their own entrepreneurial endeavors, including their successes and challenges. This project is expected to take 1-2 weeks for the equipment install and year-long visits to the school for speaking engagements.
