Summary: Community Grants are given to not-for-profit organizations for needed project in and around Oak Park, IL
Every year our Rotary club receives applications from not-for-profit organizations for community grants in Oak Park, and surrounding communities. These grants are awarded by a committee of Rotarians. The money is to be used for specific projects by the organizations, such as washers and dryers for people in temporary housing in times of crises, a new Kiln for a senior citizen's center, educational opportunities regarding legal rights, and numerous other amazing and worthwhile projects. We currently award $25,000 and would like to use our district money to be able to award more money to the wonderful organizations in our area. The community grants are decided in March of each year.
