Project Description Country: USA Location: Le Mars Total Budget: $2,495 Area of Focus: Maternal and child health Activity Type: Health: General Summary: Rotary members package meals for “Then Feed Just One” for children in Honduras. Work with the local partner organization, "Then Feed Just One", with a food packaging program that packages lifesaving nutritious meals for starving children and their families in Honduras, Central America. The food packages will help to alleviate hunger and malnutrition in the second poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Food packages ultimately reach the most needy in orphanages, schools, children's homes, and throughout the general population in Honduras. The packing event will be completed in one work session at a warehouse facility in Le Mars, Iowa in cooperation with the "Then Feed Just One" organization founded and located in Le Mars. The cost of a pallet of packaged meals is $2494.80.
