GenerateHope offers a refuge to victims of sex trafficking by offering a real way out. Since 2009, this non-profit has been San Diego's pioneer in long-term housing, care, and recovery for young women who have survived the complex traumas of sex trafficking. Since recovery from sexual exploitation is a long-term process, GenerateHope provides safety, community, and individualized life skills support to work through the deep trauma and discover a healthy, purpose-filled life. This includes up to two years in a confidential safe house providing a stable home environment supported by a daily program of trauma therapy, healing activities, formal education, vocational preparation, and community-living readiness. All care is provided by GenerateHope at no cost. Chula Vista Sunrise Rotary will donate shoes, personal products, and professional attire to GenerateHope residents. In addition, Chula Vista Sunrise Rotary members will contribute to maintenance and gardening projects at the safe house. Funds will be delivered within six months and will be used to support renovation and maintenance projects.
