Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Fullerton

Total Budget: $6,500

Areas of Focus: Peacebuilding and conflict prevention, Maternal and child health

Activity Type: Health: Volunteer Services

Summary: A new horse to provide riding therapy for developmentally challenged

Tara's Chance Horse Therapy is in dire need of an additional horse to provide riding therapy for developmentally challenged individuals in Fullerton and the surrounding communities. Currently there is an extensive wait list. A new horse would help to reduce the wait and the load of the other horses. Tara's Chance is a non-profit organization owned by an active member of Fullerton South Rotary. A horse is needed as soon as possible, but August/ September would provide families with an outdoor summer activity before school begins again. A new horse is approximately $6,000 and supplies would be $500.
