Project Description Country: USA Location: Fallbrook Total Budget: $1,000 Area of Focus: Community economic development Activity Type: Community Development: Construction/Renovation Summary: The Vince Ross Village Square refurbished with replacement speakers, a new fountain water pump, and updated irrigation. The Vince Ross Village Square is a Fallbrook community gathering spot in the downtown center. As an outdoor venue, it is essential during the pandemic. The square's new speakers will bring people outside for musical events while social distancing. A new Volunteer Memorial water pump would keep the fountain running to encourage service by current Fallbrook citizens. Additional plumbing equipment and irrigation line extensions would allow for continued beautification of the square and end hand-watering areas. The Fallbrook Village Rotarians would participate in the item's installation and continue to help maintain the square. There are four receipts now attached to the Project Supporting Documents. Vince's original email had indicated funds were spent for art supplies/light bulbs. The receipts show that the costs were attributed to planting and irrigation repair. The pump and installation was more expensive than he indicated on the original emals.
