Project Description Country: USA Location: Huntington Beach Total Budget: $2,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: Provide 'goodie bags' for Parents and Children attending Life Skills Classes for the Oak View local community. The Oak View School is in an under-served community. The Oak View Family Resource Center organizes Life Skills Classes for the local community parents and children such as Health, Physical Fitness, Parent/Children Classes, Child Care, and Women's Empowerment. The Coordinator would like to be able to provide "goodie bags" for the attendees of the classes. The bags would contain such items as water, cookies, sun chips, granola bars, etc. Our Club would buy the items, assemble them at our Club, and deliver them to the classes. We would attach our Rotary logo in some manner to the bags. The bags for the Women's Empowerment Class would contain such items as lotions, hand towels, manicure supplies, tea bags, etc. Project Contact Person District: 5320 Rotary Club of: Huntington Beach Primary Contact: Richard W.
