Project Description Country: USA Location: La Habra Total Budget: $4,000 Area of Focus: Maternal and child health Activity Type: Community Development: General Summary: 155 'Sweet Cases' Decorated, Assembled, and Filled with some Child Essentials, then Distributed to Foster Youth When foster children are being moved from home to home, they are often given just a trash bag to carry their personal items. Did you know that a child can move between foster homes up to 13 times a year? "Sweet Cases" were created (by Together We Rise TWR) to provide foster children comfort and dignity during these difficult transitioning periods. Between Aug. 1, 2020 and Dec. 31, 2020 155 "Sweet Cases" will be purchased, decorated, and assembled by Rotarians and family members, then returned to TWR to be distributed to foster youth throughout Orange County, CA in need.
