Project Description Country: USA Location: Community Total Budget: $3,000 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment Activity Type: Health: Disease Summary: Nutritional dehydrated grains with vitamins in a meal package for distribution to severe malnourished children Orange Plaza Rotary will work in partnership with the Rise Against Hunger to package approximately 7,692 meals containing nutritious, dehydrated meals of rice, soy, vegetables, flavorings and 21 essential vitamins. The meals are designed to meet the daily needs of children suffering from severe malnourishment. These meals are then easily transported to crisis-burden areas or to supplied to school feeding programs around the world. The meals cost only $0.39 per meal to produce and contains 6 meals per package.
