Pocatello Rotary Club has been developing the Crane Creek Nature area south of Pocatello for the past two years. Upon Past President Ian Riseley's request for all Rotarians to plant trees for beautification and environmental improvement, our club has been working with the Idaho Fish and Game to develop a small nature area where community members can recreate, enjoy the shade of newly planted trees, fish, and learn about wildlife in the area.
We are requesting a $500 grant to assist in improvements to the water drip system, maintenance of benches, and the purchase of additional trees for the area.
This project serves the needs of the entire Bannock County community and has brought together Rotarians, Interactors, Rotaractors, community volunteers, RYE students, and the Idaho Fish and Game. It will be a lasting and important project exemplifying Rotary's commitment to earth stewardship and environmental responsibility.
