Summary: Rotarians , family members and friends purchase groceries, prepare and serve breakfasts and lunches for the guests at Hesed House.


The Rotary Club of Aurora will provide 4 breakfasts and 6 family dinners to the guests at Hesed House during the year. We provide groceries, prepare and serve meals. The breakfast serves about 150 adult guests and the dinners serve about 50 parents and children. We anticipate about 8-10 Rotarians or their family members or friends to provide the breakfast service. Dinner is prepared and served by about 4-5. We also provide hygiene items for the "free store". The project funds will be used to purchase groceries and hygiene items.

Hesed House is a shelter in Aurora, IL. Its mission is to end homelessness while providing for the guests basic needs.

Hi Kathleen,

I want to remind you that your club’s final report for P3258: Hesed House Breakfast and Dinner is due by Monday, May 24. If your club has completed its project, I am asking that you file the final report as quickly as possible. If you have not been able to complete your project due to COVID, please let me know. You may be able to repurpose the grant. The deadline for notification is this upcoming Monday, April 12. Unused funds will not carry over into FY22.
