As you know very well that our India is mostly dominated by villages, where the economic means is mainly depend on agricultural activity. So we want to concentrate this program on village economic up-liftment.

Rotary Club of Pandaripuram was charted in the year 1987. It has seventy five active and young members at present, year by year our club strength is increasing and new members have voluntarily joining by the great work doing to the community in our area. We are also one of the best active clubs in coastal district of RI district 3150. We have very good reputation of implementing all projects in time. Our club has undertaking lot of community activities like providing food to old age homes, conducting IOL operations free of cost, undertaking women empowerment by providing sewing machine to needy women, giving milching cattle's to provide lively hood to poor agricultural families. We also undertaken conducting free medical camps and distributed medicines free of cost to poor people, we have also distributed food packets to the victims of natural calamities like drought and cyclone. Recently we have constructed one bus shelter on National Highway No : 5 at Ganapavaram village, where lot of educational institutions located. We regularly distribute shoes, uniforms and blankets to the poor school children.

PROJECT DISCRIPTION:

Rotary Club of Pandaripuram, RI district 3150 is committed to solve the community through various service activities have identified the humanistic project aimed to provide lively hood to poor agricultural families situated in village areas. Our club earlier under took in big way children opportunity than ( COG ) project and nearly 42 schools were benefited through this project, in order to improve children education in rural areas as we want to concentrate this project in RCC's sponsored by our club located in villages like Ganapavaram, Monukondavaripalem, Gannavaram, Murikipudi and so on. Due to change in climatic conditions like deforestation, and more urban civilization, change in environmental conditions like global warming lead to change in climatic conditions. So rains are gods grace and agricultural activity more depend on cyclones rather than monsoons. In these circumoustanses all these families depend on rain fed harvest suffering very much due to the lack of monsoon rains in time and these families can depend on other type of lively hood like feeding milch cattle's and they can survive their families very well and they can send their children to the education rather than to daily wages to near by towns. Our club already provided these milch animals five years back to Ganapavaram, Gannavaram and Monukondavaripalem and these families feeling very much happy with these buffaloes and these families more depend on this animal's rater than agricultural activity.

PROJECT COST ESTIMATION:

EACH MILCH ANIMAL COST US $ 568

50 MILCH ANIMAL COST US $ 568 x 60 = 34080

LESS: RC PANDARIPURAM CONTRIBUTION

FROM ROTARIANS US $ 2400

BALANCE FINANCIAL REQUIREMENT US $ 31680

MATCHING GRANT FROM ROTARY INTERNATIONAL US $ 31680

We need total US $ 31680 as financial help for this project.

BENEFICIARIES:

A world where some live in comfort and plenty, while half of human race lives on less than $2 a day, is neither just nor stable. Including the entire world's poor in an expanding circle of development- and opportunity-is a moral imperative and one of the top priorities of all minded Rotarians.

The project we wish to under taken with your assistance will benefit nearly 100 families directly or indirectly. Our club is going to form five members committee consisting of dedicated senior Rotarians to look after this project for proper implementation. As our club member having experience in this type of activities because they belong to the development officer of general Insurance company (THE NEW INDIA ASSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED) they have regular contact with local veterinary doctors for cattle insurance. So they can purchase these milch animals at very reasonably price directly from seller compare with market price and they can also have good experience in getting more milk giving animals rather than depend on middle man for getting good results. In the first phase we want to under take this project with our RCC at Gannavaram,M.K.V.palem and ganapavarm villages where there is sufficient fodder is available for feeding these animals very well and also these villages are very famous for milk as they are having more percentage of fat for getting more remurative price in local market. Our club is also planning to take female calf from beneficiaries and hand over same to some other family in the same villages. So like that we can circulate this animal to the whole community in that area. And they can send their children to near by school for education. Now a days in our area dairy business is very lecurate and milk price is increasing day by day and the by product like dung is also useful for cooking purpose.

We sincerely request you provide the above financial aid and render your help for up liftment of poor people living in villages. If you need any information regarding this project, we are ready to submit the same. It gives us great pleasure to join hands with you to extend the service of rotary club to the poor and needy. We also appreciate your endeavor in taking up this humanitarian project of milch animals to poor agricultural families in rural area and make dream real
