The Project aims to provide the benefit of Biogas System to meet the Cooking Energy and Organic fertiliser needs of 60 poor rural households in villages Hatve Budruk & Hatve Khurd, Bhor Taluka, Pune District.
The project will provide a new and renewable source of clean energy (biogas) and downstream slurry-based products - solid biofertilizer, liquid biofertilizer, vermicompost, which are a high-quality fertilizer and is much better than the chemical fertilizers that have harmful effects on the soil health, human health and on environmental impact. It eliminates the use of natural gas and saves money for households. It minimizes the use of chemical fertilizer and helps to save money as well as helps to increase the soil nutrients and improve soil properties, soil fertility, soil productivity, water holding capacity and air circulation.
All 60 houses should have 2 or more cattle, 2-acre Farm and 4 members in the Household.
The benefits of this Project are
1) The Project will save Rs 12,000 per year on LPG gas and Rs 20,000 per year and expenditure for chemical fertilisers on the farm
1)The beneficiaries will be able to use the money saved to provide better Nutrition to the Family and improve the health and well-being of the family.
2) Reduced carbon emissions and air pollution, mitigating Climate Change
3) Expanded clean energy access for a rural community.
