Ghana clean water project for 2021-2022 will drill thirty new boreholes and build 192 Microflush toilets in Ghana. Our goal is to provide communities with clean water and sanitation in poor communities in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. We will implement small-town water systems for four communities and will repair one borehole. We will provide 260 micro-credit loans for boreholes, Microflush toilets, farms and small businesses to improve the economic strength of two communities. The project funding goal is $145,088 to impact more than 20,000 lives. The communities impacted are in the Obuasi area near Kumasi, Ghana. Our grant will be submitted and approved in October 2021. We need your support to fully fund the grant.
The Rotary Club of Premier eClub of Montreal Canada will be the international Rotary Club and Marc Mauger will be the primary international partner. Rotary Clubs can contribute toward this project to get matching funds from their district and The Rotary Foundation. President Abdul Mumin Tahir of Obuasi Rotary Club will be the leader of the host Rotary Club.
All communities will provide local leadership, labor and funding. The communities will raise over $670 toward new boreholes. Walter Hughes of Callaway, VA, is supporting the implementation effort. He's led more than 30 Rotary projects in Ghana for the last 15 years. He can be reached at 540-493-4715 or via email at email@example.com . Marc Mauger can be reached at +1 (514) 570-3688.
