Project Description

Region: South America

Country: Brazil

Location: Rio Claro-SP

Total Budget: $55,000

Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment

Project for the acquisition of A MOBILE ICU to meet the needs of high-risk patients in pre-hospital and / or inter-hospital transport needs that require intensive medical care - equipped with the necessary medical equipment for this function.

When the COVID-19 crisis ends, the equipment donated through this Global Grant will continue to be used and very useful.

The project will be carried out at the Hospital of Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Rio Claro, located at Rua 2, 297 - Centro - Rio Claro / SP / Brazil.

It is the only hospital in the city and region for free care.

Rotarians will follow up with reports that will be sent regularly by e-mail to oversee and verify the implementation and its results.

The Schedule is defined as follows: 1- acquisition of equipment within 200 days after receipt of the subsidy; 2-Opening and official delivery of equipment within 30 days after receipt of all equipment; 3-Delivery of reports to RI within 180 days after the official delivery of the project

Partner visits are always welcome for on-site knowledge and monitoring, among other needs.

In contact with the Administration of the Hospital, it was discovered the immediate need for the equipment object of this global subsidy project since it only has a single equipment and is more than 21 years old, outdated, in a precarious situation, with engine problems (can stop at any time).

Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
