Abhavaya Bhavan is a destitute home taking care of about 400 odd male and female inmates. It has been in operations since 2000. Our club has already taken supported them in the past by constructing a water tank and pump house. The destitute home has grown in size since then and it is important that they are able to stand on their own without fund support from voluntary contributions. We are proposing to provide machinery for a tailoring unit, cloth bag stitching unit, non-woven bag making unit, paper bag making unit and a face mask production unit along with related infrastructure for their energy needs. The destitute home can generate funds by selling products from above machinery. Constructed space is available in their premises. Total project cost is USD 64,000. We are looking for USD 32,000 from international partners. We hope to complete the project in 9 months. We are a 66 member club and all of us live within 10 Km of this destitute home and have see this grow remarkably well with passion for serving the needy. We are all willing to participate actively to ensure that the project is run successfully in the coming years as well.
We are looking for a Club partner. Click here to pledge support for this project. Recording a pledge will make you the Primary International Partner for this project.
Project Status
Dropped
This project has been "Dropped". Check the history log entries to see why it was dropped.
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
