PROPOSAL FOR MOBILE CANCER DETECTION VAN:
PROJECT: To develop Mobile Cancer Detection Van to serve rural and tribal population of South Gujarat.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Considering the significant increase in the Oral, Prostrate, Blood as well as Lung Cancers in men and Breast as well as Cervical Cancers in women, Rotary Gandevi along with Rotary Chikhli River Front and other clubs of South Gujrat region have decided to develop Mobile Cancer Detection Van to serve the rural and tribal population of South Gujrat region. This Mobile Cancer Detection Van will have inbuilt Mammogram, X Ray as well as other instruments which would be useful to detect Breast Cancer, Oral Cancers, Prostrate, Blood and Cervical Cancers in their early stages. So that lives of the rural and tribal community could be saved.

PROPPOSED INTERNATIONAL PARTNERS : Seek International Sponsor Clubs as well as Districts with DDF.
ACTION PLAN FOR SUSTAINIBILITY: Rotary Gandevi intend to hand over this Cancer Detection Van to LNT CHARITABLE CANCER HOSPITAL, NAVSARI which is being developed by LNT CHARITABLE TRUST under the able leadership and vision of Padmashri Shri.Anilbhai M. Naik. This cancer hospital will take care of operation and maintenance of this Mobile Cancer Detection Van. This van will be sent to rural and tribal areas of South Gujrat region on first come first serve basis. Rotary Gandevi and other clubs will organize Cancer Awareness Camps in rural and tribal areas which will be supported by this proposed Cancer Detection Van. This van will be occupied for most of days as Diwaliben Trust has adopted 400 villages in the tribal belt. As well, Rotary Gandevi has also developed a very strong rapport with the rural and tribal community around Gandevi , Navsari, Bardoli and Vyara area, the proposed Cancer Van will be engaged in most of the days through out the year. All the services will be provided at nominal cost which will be utilized to cover the operation and maintenance of the van.
As LNT CANCER HOSPITAL has a vision to provide all cancer care ( including surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation , PET scan etc. etc...) at subsidized rate, Rotary Gandevi would like to have a permanent partnership with LNT CANCER HOSPITAL . All the beneficiaries of the camps will be referred to this hospital for the follow up care.
As stated above, with the help of this Mobile Cancer Detection Van, millions of lives could be saved so it would be a highly sustainable project. As well, since this project involves investment in Human Capital, Cost Benefit Ratio of this Project would be INFINITE!!!
PROJECT BUDGET: Total outlay of the project will be INR 11,454,968 i.e. US $ 150,000.

Timeline: We intend to start the project by end of December 2020 and hand over it by March 2021.
Host Clubs Rotarian participation: They will conduct CNA and upload the Grant application. They will get it approved from TRF. They will receive the grant amount and utilize it with utmost stewardship. Host clubs will organize Cancer Check up Camps and send all the identified beneficiaries to base hospital to provide follow up treatment.
