Project Description Region: Africa Country: Nigeria Location: Okpara Inland Total Budget: $67,567 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy There are no classrooms in the school. This project is to provide a conducive teaching and learning environment thereby attaining educational excellence. It will help the students in terms of mental health and also academic improvement. This will not only enhance school facilities but also students academic performance. The building of the school hall became very necessary when we saw students sitting on the bare floor having a quiz competition. Project funds will be use to sis the renovation of two(2) blocks of three classroom each, a block of six(6) classroom, building of a school Hall, provision of water tank and tap. The renovation of the three blocks is from roofing level. The project will also include furnishing the classrooms with two hundred and forty(240) student desk. The renovation will also take care of ceiling, putting windows and doors, flooring and painting. Time line is three months. Rotarians are already involved by moving to the school for proper investigation and assessment. We also intend to always go to the school once work commences to monitor proper work and progress. Rotarians will also be involved in some manual work during the course of this project.
