SAVE 1 LIFE IN TIMES OF COVID-19, SAVE ALL HUMANITY ...

EXECUTIVE DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

Maternal-Fetal Care and Transfers of Suspect Patients with CoVID - 19.

INSTITUTION AND BENEFITED COMMUNITY:

Tlalixtac de Cabrera Health Center with Extended Services (CESSA).

POPULATION BENEFITED PER YEAR:

The CESSA of Tlalixtac de Cabrera provides on average more than 5,270 consultations to patients of all ages in the areas of outpatient consultation, emergencies, hospitalization. Likewise, more than 238 eutocic deliveries are attended each year and on average more than 100 pregnant patients are transferred with some obstetric emergency such as hemorrhage, pre-eclampsia or acute fetal suffering.

NEEDS ASSESSMENT:

This evaluation was carried out by members of the Oaxaca Rotary Club together with the Director of the medical unit, Dr. Uriel Jesus Montes Hernandez and the Chief of Nursing, MSP. Giovani Josue Ramos Garcia.

NEEDS ASSESSMENT DATE:

April 20, 2020 due to Covid Phase 2 Contingency - 19.

EQUIPMENT REQUESTED FROM THE INTERNATIONAL ROTARY FOUNDATION:

2 portable vital signs monitors (Heart Rate, Respiratory Rate, Temperature, Blood Pressure and oximetry) for the emergency and ambulance areas during patient transfers.

1 Baumanometer with oximetry for the birth area.

USE OF THE REQUESTED MEDICAL EQUIPMENT:

A) .- Permanent monitoring of all suspected patients with covid - 19 and pregnant women. Goal: 300 patients a year.

B) .- Permanent monitoring of all suspected patients with covid-19 and pregnant women who travel by ambulance to the hospital. Goal 100% of 100% patients transferred per year.

MAIN JUSTIFICATION OF THE PROJECT:

Due to the Global Virus Pandemic (SARS COV -2) that produces a disease called COVID-19 that produces acute respiratory failure which requires continuous observation and monitoring of vital signs and oximetry (amount of oxygen that enters the lungs ) of the patients in the areas of emergency observation and continuous monitoring during the transfer of the patient to a hospital, remember that the most serious cases of COVID-19 cause the death of the patient.

The importance of the monitors is that this medical equipment emits an immediate auditory and visual alert when any vital sign of the patient is modified by the worsening of the disease in this case COVID-19.

Why is patient monitoring not currently performed?

The medical unit has few economic resources.

Amount REQUESTED FROM THE ROTARY FOUNDATION AND THE COMMUNITY OF ROTARY INTERNATIONAL:

$ 2, 344.34 AMERICAN DOLLARS.

$56,663.69 MEXICAN PESOS.

At this time we have the following:

$ 234.43 American Dollars of the Oaxaca Rotary Club.

$ 117.21 American Dollars of Local Rotary Partner (GERARDO JOSE CORRES TENORIO)

WE DO NOT ALREADY HAVE AN INTERNATIONAL SPONSOR.

THANK YOU :) FOR ATTENTION TO THIS SUMMARY OF SUBSIDY APPLICATION GOD BLESSES ROTARIES THAT BY SAVING A LIFE, THEY SAVE HUMANITY ... IN TIMES OF COVID-19.

Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
